Do Junk Yards Do This?

I know this is going to sound crazy but my car needed about 800 dollars of work. It needed a new engine. Also, it will eventually need new tires and the exhaust needs fixed. It's a little loud. Anyway, I gave the car to a local junkyard; title and all but now I realized it'd be cheaper if I had just fixed the car instead of buying one like I intend on doing. Do junk yards allow you to buy the car back? Even if they already paid you for the car? The junkyard gave me $130 for my car. I accepted and it handed over. Can I buy it back?

As far as my knowledge goes, junk yards do also sell things that they buy,in fact many people repair their cars from the parts that they get from the yard coz its too costly to buy new ones.Sure you can buy back ur car .

If it hasn't turned hands already. And be prepared to pay more than you got, plus towing, and as is!!!

I see no reason why they wouldn't sell it back to you. Just don't expect to pay the same $130 you sold it for. I'm sure they will want much more than that. It's called being in business to make a profit.

yes some do it is a matter of time they bite have sold some of it off or scrap it

They're in it for profit, you'll have to pay their price to get it back. Chalk it up to payment of the stupid tax, go forward and do it no more.

Chances are probably not unless you know the owner of the junkyard .That is the way they make their money,buy someone's junk make a dollar off of parting it out.It's normallay a win-win for both seller buyer of the junk vehicle.

They will not sell it back to you, as they know it's worth hundreds or even more than a thousand in some cases sold as parts.
