how do i go about transferring plates in ohio?

Just go to the dmv tell them you want to transfer your plates and they will ask you for a small fee.Oh and plates are not transferable between a car and a truck.

It is simple after you are no longer the owner of the other vehicle. Once you have transferred the title to another person or business, take your old registration papers down to the DMV with your new title and have them transferred. Usually a small charge.
